Our Mission

What are we inspired to do?

Know Christ. Love One Another.

Empowered by the Gospel

Witness Faithfully

Transform the Home

Invest in Community

These four ideas form the pillars of our faith community. They describe the framework of our life together as a Church.

Throughout our website you will find examples of how we devote ourselves to work within these pillars. God has gifted each person with an ability to contribute to Church life. We've discovered that in using these gifts, we become more and more the people God wants us to be.

Building and History

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was once just a group of thirty people meeting in another church back in 1955. It was almost a decade later when we finally broke ground for the sanctuary here on Enota Drive. Since then, we've had two major additions expanding the church to accommodate our growing membership.

Facilities

We have been blessed with a wonderful church building that has so much room for activities! You will quickly get familiar with our Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. The Information Hallway that connects the two has all the sign up sheets and forms you could ever find.

We have a Children's Hallway, a Middle School Room, and High School Room. There are also empty classrooms for Bible Studies and group meetings. The Prayer Room is located in the Offices and is a quiet place you can dedicate time to bringing your heart to God.

the office

The Church Office is open during the week Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm. You can call 770-532-2428 and reach our church secretary during these hours.

The Office is closed for major holidays such as New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
