Small Groups

A time for deeper fellowship.

Discipleship in Action

Small Groups are an integral part of Good Shepherd. We have many different groups that meet regularly throughout the year. Some Groups meet at the church, or in homes, or even out on Gainesville Square, all at different times. You are invited to get involved and grow in community!

Small Group sign-ups typically begin in August and January every year. The majority of our groups take summer and December off for vacations and family visits.

Open Groups

Say you can't commit to a Small Group that's going through a book together because the of the season you are in. No worries! There are some groups that meet on a regular basis that don't have homework attached.

Bible Class - Lead by Pastor Dan, Bible Class follows service every Sunday around 10:45, and is dismissed at 11:45.

LWML - Lutheran Women's Missionary League - A nation wide organization, our chapter is open to every woman in the church. They meet every other month with many fun activities throughout the year. Keep an eye out for their annual Advent Brunch and Sisters in Christ Tea!

S.O.A.P - On Monday mornings, a group gets together to study the bible passage that our pastor plans to preach during the upcoming Sunday service. They meet together at the church and over video call. All that's needed: your bible!

Bibles and Beer - A men's group that meets at Gainesville Square's Tap-It to talk about, well, the Bible! A casual atmosphere that's a great place to bring questions.

Young Adult - Aimed for adults in their 20s and 30s, join us for topical discussions as we apply Biblical truth to the world around us.

GSLMG- Good Shepherd Lutheran Men's Group typically meets once a month for a morning Bible Study, a field trip, and then lunch.
